Master of Science in Informatics with specialization in Vision, Graphics and Interactive Systems

Please note that this education has been replaced by: Computer Engineering with a Specialization in AI, Vision and Sound

The Master of Science in Informatics with specialization in Vision, Graphics and Interactive Systems Programme (VGIS) offers education within computer vision and computer graphics which can be used to create solutions to a wide array of problems ranging from automating security cameras, over Deep Learning-based recognition of objects to creating programmes for painting robots. As the title of the programme also suggests, interactive systems is also covered, which means that some projects during this programme will be interactive.

We strongly believe in student projects being the key to learning. Therefore all project are based on problem based learning and more than half the time of the programme, will consist of project time. The projects are carried out in small groups which are formed at the beginning of the semester. Each group will get an office at their disposal and a supervisor from the staff. Projects typically have a substantial implementation part, since they usually examine a problem in a specific context. Often the projects will have a relation to current research projects or industrial partners. All courses and supervision is in English.
